It’s ME

I’ve posted a couple of Poems of One Words  (such asThe ART ofYou are what you EAT) which are a play on a word which is found in other words to which it shares some relationship.  They are visual poems rather than for recitation, because it only in seeing them that you get the word play.  I’ve added photos (most are my own photos) to enhance the visual poetry though you can replace them with your own images.   Links to all of these poems can be found at Poems of One Words.  It was my tags search tool in WordPress itself that caused me to see a list of words that had the same few letter combinations within them.  For in the Tags search tool as soon as you type a couple of letters it lists all the words that have that combination of letters anywhere in the words I’ve previously used as tags.

MEta-narrative**

[NOTES: Meme* and  connectome* are terms I encountered in recent reading I’ve been doing on the human brain and the existence of free will.  They are controversial terms in the sense that not all scientists even agree as to their existence and role in shaping us, but I found the concepts apropos to “me”!

The notion of a MEta-narrative** – a human narrative that ties many or all humans together through a shared  history –  is not accepted by post-modernists who tend to think each person spins his/her own narrative and gives meaning to history rather than receiving meaning from history/society. But I do believe as humans we share a common memory known as history which shapes “me”.  I see myself as part of and accept the Christian meta-narrative.  It is part of what it is to be human and certainly what distinguishes us from all other creatures on earth in that they have no awareness of sharing such a history.]

Poems of One Words

I’ve posted a couple of Poems of One Words, which are a play on a single word which is found in and as a part of other words and it also shares some relationship to these other words as suggested by the poem itself.  They are visual poems rather than for recitation, because it only in seeing them that you get the word play.  I’ve added photos (most are my own photos) to enhance the visual poetry .  Links to these poems are listed below.

The very notion of the Poems of One Words came to me because of putting tags on blogs.  Every time I type a few letters in my tags box it automatically brings up all the tags/words that has that same combination of letters no matter where they occur in the tag/word.   That caused me to see a relationship in words that share a combination of a few letters no matter how unrelated the words are.  Since poetry is also a wordsmith art, it occurred to me to put these words that share a small letter combination together.  It is all for fun.
